Abuja Schools Frightened As Bandits Raid Government School

Gunmen identified as Bandits attacked  Junior high school in the Yebu community of the Abu Jaquari regional council and kidnapped the vice-principal Mr. Muhammad Nuhu.

According to the Daily Trust report, a school teacher who refused to be identified said that the kidnappers used  life threatening weapons to attack the school staff’s dormitory.

He said that some criminals set up barricades in the bedroom while other gangs crossed the fence and entered the premises, from where they broke into his home and took him away.

He said the kidnappers tied the guard to the door before forcibly opening the victim’s door. “Even some teachers who stayed in the dormitory could not leave because of sporadic gunfire.”

The incident occurred on Saturday night, three days before the attack on the dormitory of Abuja University staff in the Giri area. The Abduction of the Vice Principal who said the incident occurred just days after the kidnapping of Abubakar Abdullahi Gbedako, the chief imam of the central Yabgoji Mosque, who was also deputy chief of Kwaito Junior High School from Kwali District.

Knabayi said the union had written several emails to the FCT administration and some regional committee chairmen complaining that their members are constantly being kidnapped.
