Mistakes are inevitable and the possibility of knowing everything is not feasible, so to make room for correction becomes necessary that’s why we have compiled below a guide on how to correct any mistakes made during NYSC online registration.
HOW TO CORRECT DATE OF BIRTH*
According to NYSC, henceforth, information from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is now being used to effect changes on the NYSC Portal, the new procedure is as follows:
Get WAEC Verification Pin from any First Bank Branch
Login to your Dashboard and click on the link to Date of Birth
Enter WAEC Verification PIN, select WAEC Type, Year of Exam and enter your Examination Number
Click on Verify button
Click SUBMIT or CANCEL
*NB: If you’re more than 30yrs in WAEC & JAMB,* It will not work for you.
HOW TO CORRECT WRONG COURSE OF STUDY
The following Procedures are to be followed:
Login to your Dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;
Select Course of Study; and
Click SEND REQUEST
*NOTE: This Approval is strictly done by your *Institution’s Student Affairs Officer (SAO).*
HOW TO CORRECT NAMES
The following procedures are to be followed:
Login into your Dashboard using your Username and Password
Click on Apply for Name Correction: Fill the required fields
Click on Place Request to submit and wait for approval
However, Those who need Addition or Removal of names will have to go back to their institutions of Graduation, who will in Turn Formally Communicate such request to the NYSC.
Addition or Removal of names will not be attended to, until your Institution follow the lay down procedure. This is necessary to ensure that your Certificate of National Service do not bear a wrongly spelt name.
If you refuse to correct this and go to Camp, you’ll be sent Back Home without been attended to.

Save yourself from been embarrassed and sent out of the camp.
You cannot register in camp without Medical Fitness Certificate.

The following procedures are to be followed:
Login to your Dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;
Select Class of Degree; and
Click SEND REQUEST

HOW TO CORRECT WRONG QUALIFICATION
The following procedures are to be followed:
Login to your Dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;
Select Qualification; and
Click SEND REQUEST

HOW TO CORRECT SEX OR STATE OF ORIGIN
According to NYSC, you can lodge a complaint or apply for correction at the ICT unit when you get to the NYSC orientation camp
